Project Report | Jun 6, 2023
Consumer research results, programme impact report and Hong Kong secondhand pop-up

By Alix Lefebre | Partnerships Manager

Dear Donors,

We are getting in touch to share to our progress towards our mission of reducing fashion waste in Hong Kong and beyond, and where your donations are making a difference. The team that leads this project is growing and we have ambitious project goals in the coming 3 years.

Please consider donating to us monthly to help us support the ongoing growing financial challenges of collecting and redistributing clothing waste effectively. You can simply click the ‘donate monthly’ tab on our page here to set this up.

CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR NEW STUDY

As we look to the future, we are excited to share with you our latest research findings on consumer behaviour and perceptions of secondhand fashion. Working with global insights and advisory consultancy GlobeScan, we conducted a study to explore takeback and secondhand service offerings among retailers in Hong Kong and consumers' attitudes towards such services. The study also identified key opportunities and challenges for circular retail services in Hong Kong, and advised potential strategic directions for Redress to extend its activities.

These findings will help inform our future research and program work, as we identify ways to engage with consumers who have not yet embraced giving away unwanted clothing or purchasing secondhand clothing.

GET REDRESSED IMPACT REPORT

We are thrilled to share our Get Redressed Month 2022 Impact Report with you. Our most recent campaign was a resounding success, thanks to the support of the many participants and sponsors who helped us make it happen. Get Redressed Month is taking a break in 2023, as we prepare to bring you a bigger and better edition in Spring 2024. We can't wait to share our plans with you and hope you will join us in making it a success.

SUMMER POP-UP BACK IN HONG KONG

For those in Hong Kong, get ready to shop guilt-free and support a great cause at the same time as our Summer secondhand Pop-up is back from 17-22 June at Berkshire House, 25 Westlands Road Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong.

A wide range of trendy and affordable secondhand items will be on offer - a perfect opportunity to refresh your wardrobe while also making a positive impact - every purchase helps fund Redress' programmes.

Many thanks again for helping us achieve our goals. Every donation no matter how small helps!

Best Wishes,

Alix Lefebre
