Warm Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to you and your loved ones!
As 2023 begins to wind down, we find ourselves reflecting on our year and the commitments we’ve made to combat Hong Kong’s alarming fashion waste crisis. It's disheartening to think that Hong Kong landfills an estimated 202 tonnes of clothing daily, much of which could have been given a second chance at life. This staggering statistic fuels our mission daily.
In light of this, I'd love to introduce you to our ‘Wear Secondhand Day’. This unique initiative not only educates and raises awareness, but it also offers a tangible way for companies, organisations, schools, and individuals like you to participate in creating a sustainable fashion future. By donning clothes that are “as good as new”, we’re reminding our community of the worth in reusing and recycling. Join us wherever you are!
Wear Secondhand Day 2023 is a chance to discover and participate in the positive power of fashion, but it also hopes to provide critical funding to support our team through individual donors.
For those of you in Hong Kong, we offer another exciting avenue to champion our cause: our Winter secondhand pop-up! Join us from 14-19 Nov at 12/F, PCCW Tower, Taikoo Place, 979 King's Rd, Quarry Bay, and indulge in sustainable shopping.
Every contribution, be it by spreading the word, attending our events, or donating, propels us closer to our goals. If you can, please consider supporting our mission with a monthly donation here [link to donate here].
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we can redefine fashion and its impact on our world.
Warm regards,
Hannah
