Help restoring degraded forests and combating climate change in Ankpa

Dear prospective donors,

Ankpa continues to suffer from severe environmental degradation, including high levels of erosion and the impacts of climate change. The Ankpa metropolis and its environs have been ravaged by severe gully erosion, leading to the loss of arable land, destruction of infrastructure, and displacement of communities. This situation has been exacerbated by factors such as poor land management, deforestation, and inadequate erosion control measures.

We have received some donations for this project, but the funds are not sufficient to kickstart the full-scale reforestation effort. Planting 5,000 fruit trees across seven villages is a significant undertaking that requires substantial resources for purchasing seedlings, preparing the land, and ensuring the survival of the trees through regular maintenance.

Immediate support is essential to combat the ongoing environmental challenges in Ankpa. Reforesting these villages will help restore soil fertility, reduce erosion, and provide sustainable livelihoods for the communities through the cultivation of fruit-bearing trees.

Thanks for your kind generosity towards this impactful project.

With love,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic K.
