Trauma Counseling Support For Refugees In Uganda

Guess what?

YOU changed the story of so many refugees this year!  Together, with you, 3901 refugees recevied Trauma Counseling this 2023.  Thank you so much for your partnership.

After coming each afternoon for Trauma Counseling, here is what some refugees had to say about their transformation after completing the sessions with I Live Again Uganda:

• "I feel strong now.  I feel like I can face anything!  I know how to handle my emotions and when things go wrong."

• "I'm freeing my mind and thoughts from the things that hurt me while in South Sudan.  I'm choosing forgiveness because I have wasted enough time in bitterness and pain."

• "Through the counseling session, I realized that I can live a fulfilling life.  Despite all of the scars I have from the past and what I went through in South Sudan, I now know I can have a full life.  I am looking forward to my future."

• "I feel lighter and that my life is worth living. I'm moving forward from my painful past experiences"

• "My life is so much better now.  I used to have nightmares from what I saw and experienced in South Sudan with the war.  I just kept to myself.  I didn't want to be near anyone.  But now, I can sleep easily without nightmares and I'm connecting with my family and neighbors more than before."

• "I am now calm.  I used to get upset very quickly.  Anything would make me upset.  I would react and take it out on my family.  But now, after the program, I am calm.  You can even ask my family.  I'm a different person now!"

Stories are changing because of you and your giving.  As we move forward into 2024 we are looking forward to even more lives being impacted with healing, hope and identity!
