Dear Friends,
Namaste!
Thank you for your continued support to reach the needy communities of Nepal. Your action of kindness has reached Himalayan communities with essential needs like health, education, and livelihood. While working at the communities for years with your continued support, we realized that the needs of the persons living with disabilities are unique and need special attention.
In Himalayan communities’ persons with disabilities are mostly confined to their homes with no access to basic assistive devices, physiotherapy services, awareness on rights, and services from the government.
In recent days, we are working at Humla, Bajura, Mugu, Makwanpur, Kailali, Morang and Kathmandu valley with a specific needs for the people living with disabilities. One of our physiotherapist is placed at Mugu district, who provides physiotherapy sessions and counseling at families with disabilities. Here is the summary of activities accomplished in the last quarter:
Through this project, we aim for 1000 people living with disabilities like them who are in compelling need of basic health, physiotherapy, assistive services, and livelihood opportunities close to their homes. For this cause we hope for your support to meet special need of people living with disabilities at Nepal’s most remote communities.
Thank you
PHASE Nepal Team
