The GlobalGiving Accelerator ended last week, and we are proud to annonce that we are now a fully fledged member of the GlobalGiving Community! We are in absolute awe of your generosity and support towards our pangolin rehabilitation program! There is no way we could have completed this challenge without out you and for that we are eternally greatful!
So what now? Where will all this money go? We work with Umoya Khulula Wildlife Centre who provide everything through the rehabilitation process, safe and secure housing in undisclosed locations, professional trained walkers who monitor the pangolins throughout their daily feeding walks, to the pre and post release tracking and monitoring through the use of GPS and onsite trackers.
We also work with Provet Animal Hospital, who provide all our rescued pangolins medical treatments and emergancy care. As you can imagine, veterianary expenses is one of the most expensive parts of the rehabilitation process. Provets, amazingly offers all their prefessional time for free and when it comes to treating these amazing animals they also only charge us the bare minimum for all medical materials and medicines!
So with your incredible contributions we will now be able to cover Artie's Vetinary costs, as well as another pangolin who was rescued 2 weeks ago in a horriffic state will requires extensive treatment and rehabilitation. (We are unable to give more details at this time, until the arrested party has received his day in court.) We will now also be able to provide tracking devices for Wilma who will very soon be starting her soft release program. If you would like to find out more about Wilma and Artie's stories please check out our other reports!
We can not continue this critical work with these amazing organisations without your help, and we thank you with all our hearts.
