The Béréba Reading and Study Center (CLEB) always offers an opportunity to be of service while enhancing one’s own skills. The ABVBF animator's visit on June 17, 2026, centered on two key activities: the management of the collection and a fun, engaging challenge. The first task involved removing old identification numbers from unregistered books and assigning new ones to facilitate their formal registration. This process frees up space for the assignment of new, unique codes. Such behind-the-scenes work is essential for helping users navigate the catalog effectively. After the effort of managing the collection, it was time for a playful challenge. I played an intense game of Scrabble with the center’s manager. This gave her the chance to apply the strategies she had learned against an experienced opponent. The game also helped reinforce her knowledge—covering aspects such as short words, the strategic placement of high-value letters, and board management. The CLEB is about more than just bookshelves; it is a vibrant space for lifelong learning and human connection, where administrative precision goes hand in hand with intellectual stimulation.
