Rehabilitation for burn survivors in Taiwan

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for your support and generosity towards our foundation. Your donation in 2023 has made a significant impact on the lives of burn survivors across Taiwan, and we cannot thank you enough for your commitment.

Each donation we received plays a crucial role in aiding burn survivors on their journey towards recovery. Your contribution last year has enabled us to provide essential services, helping burn survivors find hope and build resilience to navigate through the challenging rehabilitation process.

Throughout 2023, your support helped us achieve these milestones:

• Our dedicated team of social workers extended vital services to a total of 582 burn survivors throughout Taiwan. From providing psychosocial support to burn survivors and their caregivers, to assisting them in accessing necessary resources (welfare, legal, medical, etc.), the work of our social workers is instrumental in guiding individuals through their recovery journey. Among these, 252 were new clients who received the support they desperately needed as they face their life post-burn.
• Our skilled physical and occupational therapists provided tailored rehabilitation services to 582 burn survivors, aiding them in rebuilding strength and mobility.
• Our counseling psychologists offered individual and group counseling sessions to 48 burn survivors, providing them with a safe space to process their experiences and find healing.
• A total of 142 burn survivors successfully completed their service program in 2023, empowered to face the future with renewed confidence and independence.

As we move forward into 2024, we humbly ask for your continued support and encourage you to support us during GlobalGiving’s Little by Little campaign. From April 8 to April 12, eligible donations up to $50 per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% during the campaign until funds run out. $200,000 is available in Matching Funds for participating projects, so be sure to donate early to ensure that your donation is matched!
