To The Rescue...

By Sylvester Renner | Project Leader

Simbo - with growth on his shoulder
Simbo - with growth on his shoulder

Simbo is a volunteer at Door of Hope Wellington, where he frequently assists with Develop Africa activities.  He has been involved in activities since 2011. He was for instance involved in our recent “Stop The Spread” Ebola Sensitization campaign.  He helps in the area of teaching at the After School Lesson Program and other needed activities.

Simbo is married and has 2 children. He loves to play soccer. About 7 months ago, he noticed a growth on his shoulder. He went for an operation and the growth was removed. 3 months after the surgery the growth returned. Now the situation looks worse. He has no money to undergo another operation this time around.

Due to this growth, Simbo is in pain. He has not been active as before. He now has sleepless nights.

Thanks to your support, we have provided the money that he needs for the surgery.  Surgery has been scheduled to take place in 2 weeks. From funds that you helped provide, he has been able to purchase some prescribed medication.  Thankfully, this has brought him some relief.

Simbo and his wife send their thanks and appreciation for the timely assistance that we together have provided.  We eagerly anticipate that this scheduled surgery will bring full resolution to this problem.

Thanks so much for your support that made this rescue and intervention possible.
