Facilitating Action for Community Empowerment (FACE) supported flood survivors in Greater Upper Nile State, particularly in Longechuk County. Many internally displaced persons (IDPs) have migrated to Longechuk from their original homes, settling there without returning due to the destruction of their livelihood, property, and homes. With support from Rapid Relief Funds (RRF/IOM). FACE was able to provide these families with non-food items such as buckets, washing supplies, and tents. This year 2024 flooding might be the worst in many years. Uganda has already warned South Sudan to evacuate populations living around the Nile River before releasing the flow of water.
