Meet with Mumtaz .
I am Mumtaz (Name Changed), a 57-year-old woman living in an inaccessible village far away from the city. I went for the labour work earlier but when I heard about the corona virus and its increasing cases, I was very shocked and at the same time feared of the virus. The government also imposed strict lockdown after that all of my village people were at home and were not doing anything. I was also one of them, sitting at home unemployed. I started facing many problems after 30 days of lockdown. The biggest problem which I started facing was shortage of ration/grocery items at my house as because of it.
In this difficult time, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan came forward to help and support people like me. The team members of RSKS India came to my village and were identifying the people who are facing many difficulties due to novel corona virus. They were doing the baseline survey for their Covid-19 Humanitarian Relief program. The village people sent those RSKS people at my house as the whole village knew my poor financial condition.
These people visited my small hut and were amazed, The RSKS team members gave me trust that they will be providing support to me as soon as possible and then after some days, the whole ration/grocery kit and hygiene kit carrying pickup of RSKS India came to our village and all the people like me were told earlier to be present at the time of distribution. Then the RSKS Team distributed the ration/grocery kit and hygiene kit to so many people like me in our village and also the whole distribution program was done while following all the covid-19 safety protocols.
After I went back to home with the ration/grocery kit and hygiene kit being provided to me by RSKS India, I was shocked to see all the materials as the ration/grocery kit included flour, rice, sugar, oil, pulses, spices etc materials and hygiene kit contained cloth masks, sanitizers, soap, sanitary napkins etc materials. Through the hygiene kit, my 4-5 weeks food security is secured and also through the hygiene kit I am able to protect myself from this novel corona virus. I am very amazed and I have started believing in humanity because I never thought that someone could come at my place and support me so much without having any relation to me. I am very thankful to the RSKS organization for this wonderful support.
