Dear Friend Namaste!!
Meet with Champudi....
My name is Champudi (Name Changed) and I live in an inaccessible village far away from the city. I am 34 years old and I live with my husband and 3 children. From the last year the fearful corona virus is destroying many lives and also many people are dying due to it. We know all this as my husband always brings newspaper while coming back to house from city. He works as a daily wages labor in city. Most of my village people even do not go outside from the village as the city is far away from my village but as we do not have any land to do farming, my husband has to go outside. Me and my family always feared of the corona virus as my husband was going outside in the city but many people from our village were not having any fear of the novel corona virus and they were even not having masks on their face when they came outside the house. This was happening because some people even didn’t knew about the corona virus and some people who knew about it were acting carelessly because they were thinking that covid-19 cannot reach the village as it is far away from the city. They were ignoring the fact that in the last wave of covid-19, there were many people from the villages who died due to covid-19.
One day, there were some people who came to our village started gathering all the people from our village, one was me and told all of us to sit down while following the social distancing and then they gave masks to everyone so that every person sitting will be having masks on their face. Then these people told us that they are from Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) which is an NGO working for the marginalized and deprived community people and they have came to our village under the Together We Can 2.0 campaign of RSKS India under which many programs are organized and one of them is Spreading Covid-19 Awareness and Mask Distribution. They made the whole village people understand about the covid-19 safety protocols through snake and ladder game where the snake means things not to do and ladders means things to do in order to protect themselves and their family from the corona virus, they also had paper cards, posters, reports etc to let all the rural people know about how dangerous the covid-19 is and everyone should always take precautions and follow all the covid-19 safety protocols and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
This whole awareness activity was done with all the village people so this will benefit the people who were not following the covid-19 safety protocols earlier and were not wearing mask as this whole awareness activity made them understand that covid-19 is a very serious and to be protected from it, everyone should follow the covid-19 safety protocols. After this many people from our village also went to the vaccination center and got vaccinated. The masks distributed my RSKS India were wore by many people from our village which means they are now following the covid-19 safety protocols. All the village people thanked RSKS India team members from bottom of their heart.
