It is always said that precaution is better than cure but still people do not understand this and neglect the safety protocols of the government. This could be easily seen in this pandemic that there are many people who were not wearing masks even in the rise of covid-19 cases and this was the reason why it spread to the villages too. The rural community people did not knew about the masks and some of them thought masks as useless and not to buy material. This lead to many deaths in the villages too due to covid-19. Mask not only provides safety towards covid-19, but it also provides safety towards many other diseases too. So everyone should wear a mask and should be aware of its benefits.
In order to make rural community aware about the merits and demerits of wearing a mask and also to make them aware about the deadly covid-19 and vaccination, RSKS India organized Mask Distribution & Awareness Program under which 50,000 Reusable washable masks were distributed to rural community people of approx 100 locations/ villages. Along with this distribution work, awareness about covid-19 was also spread to these people by conducting workshops under which the people were taught through snake and ladder, flipcharts, story-telling etc. The rural community people were told about the covid-19 safety protocols and covid-19 vaccination. This program was done with the support of village official and the community members.
This program of RSKS India helped the rural people to know about the merits and demerits of wearing a mask also these people got awareness about the covid-19 safety protocols as well as covid-19 vaccination through which these people could protect themselves and their family from the novel corona virus. The workshops were planned to be very easy and informative so that the rural people who are un-educated could also understand the workshop and the awareness spread in the workshop. This program was highly appreciated by everyone as it could save many lives and also these people who got awareness could save many more. All the rural people who got the masks and the awareness thanked RSKS Team and the donors for this marvelous program.
