Covid-19 not only destroyed the livelihood of many rural people but it also destroyed the dreams of the people of getting speedy recovery from the financial crisis they faced due to the Covid-19. The pandemic is not disastrous right now but it’s after effects are disastrous to many rural people till now because they lost their livelihood. Their family is facing financial problems due to the pandemic and what they are left with is agriculture but they are not having money to even purchase seeds, fertilizers, pesticides etc for the agricultural activities. These people are spending their night with a hope that they will get a light in the darkness someday and then their problems would be resolved but their struggle everyday to run their rural livelihood is remarking. These people are surely in need of some support for their livelihood.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan got to know about this situation from the ground team and responded to it through the Fertilizer, Seeds & Farming Material Distribution Program for Better Agricultural Livelihood to Marginal Farmers. Under this program, Agriculture Livelihood Kit (Organic Fertilizer Manure Packet, Millet Seed, Peanut Seed, Corn Seed, Gaur Seed, Coriander Seed, Etc.) were given to 40 rural marginal farmers at 4 different villages. This program was only possible due to the valuable support of donors. The distribution of Agriculture livelihood kit was done while following social distancing.
The rural marginal farmers got a new hope through this program as the agriculture livelihood kit given under the Fertilizer, Seeds & Farming Material Distribution Program for Better Agricultural Livelihood To Marginal Farmers resulted in livelihood support to these farmers. The different variety of seeds supported them in the crucial moment and provided them livelihood support as their agriculture products were sold at premium prices. Now these marginal farmers are able to sleep without any worries as they are now financially strong through this support from RSKS India. They also have saved some money to again do farming and by purchasing seeds and the related materials. Through this program, the livelihood of 40 marginal farmers had been secured and now they are able to run their house in a better way. All the farmers and their family thanked RSKS India team for this wonderful initiative of securing their livelihood through the agriculture livelihood kit.
