From time to time we see the impact stories from ground through our feedback forms. One of these wonderful Beneficiary's story is shared with you through this report.

A Story of Jogha......!!

My name is Jogha (Name Changed), I am 53 years old and I live with my wife and three children. I am an sculpture artist from the past 30 years and through it I was able to run my family expenses. The corona pandemic was like a nightmare to me and my family as due to it the demand of the sculpture artist went to few and then it became null. Earlier there were marriages, festivals or other occasions in which my sculptures used to sell but due to the pandemic and lockdown there were no public gathering allowed and people looked at me like I would spread covid to them. My all the savings vanished quickly in the first four months and then I was not able to take care of my family properly. I had few people whom I knew, who appreciated my work earlier, I went to them for asking some support but they were also not able to support me for the whole time.

Some people came to me and said that they are from RSKS India and told me about their grocery/ration and hygiene kit distribution program under their Covid-19 Humanitarian Relief Project. I was very happy to hear that I would be getting ration/grocery & hygiene kit so I quickly told them about everything they asked and gave my documents photocopy to them for their documentation work. After few weeks the team members came back again at my area with more than 35 KG of ration/grocery materials and hygiene kit which was enough to secure my and my family’s 6-7 weeks food requirements. They not only distributed these life saving kits to me but also to other people of my area who were also sculpture artists. They also told me about how I could protect myself and my family from the novel corona virus.

When my wife saw all these ration/grocery kit materials then she was very happy as it contained flour, sugar, rice, edible oil, turmeric, coriander powder etc essential materials. The hygiene kit also contained of all the things which was necessary for me and my family like the sanitizer, reusable cloth safety masks, washing soaps, vitamin c tablets etc. Me and my family’s 6-7 week of food security was secured through this ration/grocery kit materials. I was able to do other work as a daily wages labour but there was no tension in my mind because I knew my family would surely eat two times meal at home. Now when the covid situation has been improved then I have started making sculptures as the festivals are coming nearby. Me and my family are always thankful to RSKS India and kind donors for providing happiness to us in the form of   ration/grocery materials and hygiene kit.
