My name is Mukesh (Name Changed), and I am a 47 year-old man living in a rural village. I have been disabled since birth, which has made life challenging for me in many ways. As a child, I faced discrimination and was often excluded from activities that other children participated in. Even as an adult, I have faced difficulties finding work and have had to rely on the support of my family and community. But the pandemic has made things even worse. The lockdowns and restrictions meant that many businesses closed down, and job opportunities became scarce. My family's income was greatly affected, and we struggled to make ends meet. The situation was dire, and I felt helpless and hopeless.

It was during this difficult time that Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) team members came to our village for their baseline survey work for the Ration/Grocery Kit Distribution Program. The team members identified me and other vulnerable individuals in the village who were in need of support. I was grateful when RSKS India team members distributed the Ration/Grocery Kit to me. The kit had all the necessary items such as flour, rice, lentils, oil, salt, and spices, which were essential for our survival. It was a huge relief for me and my family as we didn't have to worry about food for the one month. The RSKS India team members distributed the Ration/Grocery Kit while following all the COVID-19 guidelines. They wore masks, maintained social distancing, and were having hand sanitizers. I was impressed by their dedication and commitment to serving the community, even in such challenging times.

The Ration/Grocery Kit distribution by RSKS India was not just about providing essential items. It was also about restoring hope and dignity to people like me who were struggling to make ends meet. It was a reminder that we were not alone in this fight, and that there were people and organizations who cared about our well-being. The RSKS India team members also provided us with information on how to stay safe and healthy during the pandemic. They gave us tips on washing our hands, wearing masks, and maintaining social distancing. This information was crucial for us, especially as there was a lot of misinformation and confusion about the pandemic. The RSKS India team members' efforts had a profound impact on my life and the lives of other vulnerable individuals in my village. The Ration/Grocery Kit distribution program was a lifeline for us during the pandemic, and it gave us hope and the strength to keep going. It also showed us that there were people who cared about our well-being, even in such difficult times.
