Dear Donor, Namaste!
Warm Greetings From RSKS India Family......
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS) India came forth with a cause of action on a chilly winter night when the cold pressed hard upon the late evening streets and pavements! With our Winter Relief campaign, 375 warm woolen blankets were provided for the poorest and most needy homeless families, nomadic tribes, the elderly, and daily wage earners without shelter from the chill. For the homeless, winter doesn’t simply sound cold it can be deadly. This was not simply a blanket initiative it was about providing dignity, safety, and the human right of surviving the cold.
With empathy and urgency motivating them, the RSKS India team drove out late at night, tracing people hugging footpaths, closed shops, flyovers, and roadside corners. Every blanket was a direct handoff, to make sure it got into the hands of someone who truly needed it. When the chilling winds roared, covering a quivering body brought physical relief foreheads unclenched, folded hands clasped in gratitude, and moistened eyes. It is a proverb: men are not killed by cold alone, but by the lack of warm clothing in severe weather.
One moment that really struck a chord with our volunteers was when we met Ramu (Name Changed), an elderly 59 year old man who now lives on the side of a footpath after he lost his family and livelihood many years ago. Receiving a blanket with trembling hands, he whispered softly: “For countless nights I have been unable to sleep on account of the cold, which penetrated to my bones. Tonight, I will sleep peacefully.” He bundled himself up and lay down, and for the first time in days he shut his eyes without apprehension. Ramu’s story is just one of hundreds like it tales of survival you made possible.
Dear Donor, Every blanket represented protection, love, and humanity in the coldest season of the year. For every life touched, for every night made warmer, and for every prayer whispered in thankfulness. Together, we’re showing that even the coldest nights can be warmed by collective compassion.
With deepest gratitude and respect,
Team RSKS India
