Planting our way to summer

Thank You!

Thanks to wonderful supporters like you, the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem has raised almost $700 USD towards replacing the many trees lost in the December blizzard.

In recent months, we were able to source another 40 mature trees (mostly olive) from a public space in Jerusalem that was being cleared for development. These trees have found a new home at the Biblical Zoo – some near the Asian Elephant exhibit, some near the Living with the Wolves exhibit, and some near the Noah’s Ark Visitor Center. They are very much needed to replace the shade-providing mature trees that were lost during the blizzard.

The damage to the Zoo’s vegetation was serious and recovery will take many years unless we can purchase more mature trees to replace all of those that were lost. But, thanks to all of you, we are getting there!

Thanks so much for your generosity and support in our time of need. And if you are in the area, come and enjoy all the special summer activities at the Zoo with us!

Warm Regards,

The Biblical Zoo Team
