Last month, Ethical Vegan's Community shared the heartbreaking reality of animal slaughter in Uganda. Despite our best efforts, we were only able to save four sheep from slaughter. This continues to fuel our mission—not only to rescue animals but also to educate and raise awareness about veganism in Uganda.

Meet Everlyn, a 50-year-old farmer who once relied on selling hens for income. With our support, she transitioned to plant-based agriculture. Today, she proudly cultivates an acre of bananas and vegetables, proving that ethical, sustainable farming is possible.

Through our August empowerment program, farmers who previously relied on animal agriculture are now successfully growing crops like tomatoes, Irish potatoes, and bananas. Your support helps provide them with seeds, training, and resources, creating a ripple effect of sustainability and compassion.

We partnered with Mbale Child Care Foundation to teach children about veganism, sustainable gardening, and animal welfare. Through interactive workshops, we are shaping a future generation that values compassion and sustainability.

This past Christmas, we shared a delicious vegan feast with the children at Mbale Child Care Foundation, made from the very plants we’ve been nurturing. In the spirit of kindness, we also rescued a turkey from slaughter, giving it a second chance at life.

Urgent Call to Action: Help Us Build a Safe Haven for Rescued Animals

Our animal shelter is overcrowded and in desperate need of expansion. We need your support to build a larger, better-equipped shelter to house rescued pigs, turkeys, dogs, and other animals. Your donations will provide:

 Veterinary support for rescued animals

Continuing Our Mission: Saying No to Cruelty

During the holiday season, many animals faced slaughter. While we successfully rescued several turkeys, many more animals are still at risk. We continue to visit markets and slaughterhouses, purchasing animals to save them from death. We know we can’t save them all, but with your support, we are making a difference—one life at a time.
