WE DID IT!! TWO PARCELS OF PRECIOUS DAINTREE HABITAT ARE NOW PROTECTED FOREVER, THANKS TO RAINFOREST RESCUERS WHO CAME TO THEIR RESCUE.

Thanks to Rainforest Rescuers all around the world, from business partners who put their money where their brand is, to individuals who can make significant contributions and to everyone who gave in any amount, Lots 11 & 12 Forest Creek Road are both protected forever. We did it!

After being confirmed with our wonderful, pro bono, conveyancers at Sparke Helmore (thank you!) earlier this month, these TWO precious pockets of high conservation value habitat are now in the Rainforest Rescue Portfolio of Protection.

This is only possible because of those of you "who care a whole awful lot" – as the Lorax would say. And that’s why we do what we do. We care about Nature, we care about rainforests, and we care about the world’s most ancient rainforest, the Daintree. We all do.

Thank you. Thank you for your support, your attention, and for sharing this opportunity to protect rainforest forever with your networks. Thank you for anything and everything you do to help make these tremendous conservation outcomes possible and real.

This is a great result.

Lots 11 & 12 have National Park and World Heritage Area connectivity and their combined size is around two hectares, now making a toal of 11 properties connected in the Forest Creek Wildlife Corridor, providing protected habitat for the rare and threatened creatures that rely on the Daintree for their survival — the Southern Cassowaries, the Spotted-tail Quolls, the Musky-Rat Kangaroos ... and Bennett’s Tree Kangaroos. (Bennett’s ONLY exist in the Daintree, from the Daintree River on up towards Cooktown. This habitat is so precious.)

For almost 25 years, Rainforest Rescue has worked to understand, value, and protect our tropical rainforests and during that time our primary focus has been on the most ancient of rainforests, the Daintree.

Working alongside members of the local community, guided by impeccable scientists, and in consultation with Indigenous elders from the region, we’ve developed best practices for the protection of rainforests and creation of contiguous nature corridors.

But, it is only thanks to the consistent and regular support that every Rainforest Rescue supporter provides which means we can do this — these donations empowered us to buy these two very precious parcels of rainforest.

We’re looking forward to the next rescues and sharing more opportunities to protect rainforests forever with you.

For the rainforests,

Branden and the whole team at Rainforest Rescue

PS. Please tell your friends about Rainforest Rescue and share this video of Lots 11 & 12 Forest Creek Rd with them ... invite them to join you in helping to protect rainforests forever.
