Project Report | Jan 13, 2015
Wow, your support knows no bounds!

By Miranda Hudson | Snehalaya UK, Secretary

Dear Snehalaya Home of Love Supporters,

  • Since launching this project in May 2014 we have been astounded by the clear passion our donors feel for this cause, so much so that what began as a campaign to Rescue 20 Sex Workers and At Risk Children in India, has grown beyond our expectations to supporting 100!
  • Our ground staff running the project in conjunction with ChildLine would like to thank you sincerely for your support.
  • We we hope to keep this appeal active as the need is sadly still prevalent in rural India.
  • Seema was one such girl you helped and her life has been transformed for the better. When we were first alerted to her case she was subjected to conditions a caged animal should not have to endure. Now with your support she was been brought to our shelter, reunited with her brother who lives in our long term shelter and is enrolled in our school. Her weight is slowly coming back to safe levels and she is unrecognisable from the malnourished and frightened person we rescued 4months ago.

Do you know about our pther project appeals?

  • A township called the Hamlet of Courage, a Biofarm and dairy farm for HIV families to live at and develop agricultural skills whilst convalescing and learning to care for themselves. Read more here
  • Our school is looking for funding so educate 30 slum children for 1 year. Read more here

Thanks for your support. Without you these essential projects would not be possible.  Our charity relies on the kindness of our donors and we value your ongoing passion for these causes. We welcome you to visit our website at www.snehalaya.org read our latest newsletter here and if you would like to talk to us please email give@snehalaya.org
