A Time of Giving

By Cathy King | Executive Director

Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday

“I’ve learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.”Maya Angelou

Today is Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world.

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

During the Covid-19 pandemic the need for help is at an all-time high. As we move forward in our new and complicated world, coming together and helping each other is imperative.

As we approach the end of 2020 and this day of giving, the staff at Canines With a Cause encourages you to think about those in your community who are struggling; our healthcare professionals and first responders, those who have lost their jobs, businesses and loved ones. Give back in whatever way you can to help support them. We are in this together.

We give thanks for you, our donors for supporting our efforts to help our military heroes and rescue shelter dogs. We will get through this together.
