Hello,
Time flies! It's crazy to think, but we are celebrating our fifth anniversary this year!
Thanks to the support of people like you, who invested in our cause early on, we have been able to make tremendous impact. One of our partners had this to say:
We at the All Angels Church love Rescuing Leftover Cuisine! You've really transformed our programs through your donations from Breads Bakery on Wednesday nights. We actually have been able to employ several previously homeless people who went through our program and are now no longer homeless,. One of these is the security guard we pay extra to stay late on Wednesdays just for your donations. We look forward to hiring more formerly homeless program alum to do more pickups!
No matter how small the donation of food, we pick it up, because it can feed someone. No matter how small your donation, it goes to rescuing food and feeding the hungry. It all adds up, and we are able to make this impact over the first five years of our existence because of your help.
We've made a lot of progress now, but we know we still have a lot of work to do when there is still so much food going to waste every year. With everything we've done however, we know that we're building a solid foundation upon which to grow, and your support is making that happen. Join us in celebrating our Fifth Year Anniversary by tweeting at us, and feel free to emai me at robert@rescuingleftovercuisine.org to learn how to join us at our Fifth Anniversary Event on Ovtober 27th!
