GABA HOPE FOR KIDS - ACTIVITY REPORT*
*Activity: Donation of Books & Academic Resources to 100 Unprivileged Children*
*Date: August 27, 2026 | Venue: Gaba, Kampala*
*1. Introduction*
Today, Gaba Hope for Kids distributed more books and academic resources to 100 unprivileged children in Gaba slum. Many of these children are orphans and from poorest families who had no books at home.
*2. What Was Donated*
To 100 children (45 girls, 55 boys) Nursery - P.5 we donated:
- 300 exercise books
- 200 pens and pencils
- 100 rulers, sharpeners, erasers
- 50 CBC textbooks (English, Math, Science)
- 30 school bags
- 20 blackboard sets for classes
*3. How It Was Done*
- Children selected from most vulnerable class
- Social workers verified need through home visits
- Distribution done at school with parents present
- Children and parents sensitized on caring for books
*4. Impact*
- Every child now has at least 3 books to write in
- Improved attendance - children excited to come to school
- Better class participation - no more sharing 1 book by 5 children
- Girls confident to do homework at home
- Teachers can now give homework and revision work

*6. Remaining Gap*
We still need more CBC textbooks, workbooks, and teacher guides for all 208 children. 108 children are still waiting for full support.
*7. Appreciation*
We thank all donors who made this possible. Your books are not just paper - they are hope, future, and education for 100 children who had none.
