It's been an amazing Quarter at Healthy Women Healthy Liberia. US Ambassador to Liberia, Michael McCarthy visited the Waterfield Clinic and was very impressed with the work being done there. Listen to his short but powerful message.
At last our newer van for our Community Health Workers has arrived. Our CHWs visit 90 villages in Margibi County (up from 37 last year) to provide medical and hygiene training, provide prenatal and worm medications, take blood pressures and provide referrals when necessary. They were previously traveling in an unairconditioned cargo van with no seats or windows! Take a look at the celebration when the van arrived.
In our last report, the footers had just been dug for the new Waterfield Maternity & Surgical Center addition to our clinic. Now the walls are up, the roof is on and plastering and door & window installation is underway. We hope to have the addition completed by the end of the year. Your donations will be greatly appreciated to help us furnish the new facility with the necessary equipment to make it operational.
Thanks for all you do to support this medical mission.
