Every year on Liberia's July 26th Independence Day. HWHL provides a special celebration for Kakata children. This year over 750 children were fed and given gifts of clothing, shoes and books from Asbury Church's Barrels of Love, See photos below of Waterfield staff preparing food and children who have come to the Independence Day Celebration.
In 2023 the Maternity and Surgical Additions were completed at Waterfield Medical Center and since that time 38 babies have been delivered. The Surgical Theater, however, has not been operational due to the need for surgical equipment and furnishings. Last month we were able to purchase the needed equipment!
