You know how much I believe in the work we are doing in Liberia. When a girl gets a chance, gets educated, stays healthy, marries when she chooses, and raises a healthy family, she gains the power to change the standard of living for herself, her brothers, her family, her community, and her country. In the last three years we have put together specific programs to address the needs of women and girls. In a post war, post ebola world Healthy Women, Healthy Liberia is doing everything we can to restore and improve the lives of girls in Liberia.
For the next two weeks we are competing against 148 other projects/organizations in the 2017 Girl Fund campaign, which is based on the total number of individual donors.This may be one of the largest funding opportunities we have this year. This campaign alone has the potential to cover the cost of a physicians assistant, 2 nurses, 2 lab techs, and a pharmacist in our new health center. It will make a huge difference.
