New Equipment

WE HAVE NEW EQUIPMENT AT YOUR SERVICE
More and new equipment to serve our Panamanian children!
Recently our speech therapists were trained to handle the new equipment to test for VRA Visual reinforcement audiometry (Audiometer MADSENITERA II), which is already available in the area of audiology at Panamá Children's Hospital.
This equipment was obtained by a donation made by an Art Auction that the Metropolitan Kiwanis Club made last year and which became the joint service of Children's Hospital and patients of Hearing is Living Foundation.

The test assesses responses to free-field hearing levels for children from 6 months to about 4 years.
Thanks again to the Kiwanis Club for this wonderful contribution and Raenco, Importer Selecta Green Fiber companies who supported us in enabling the adaptation of an office within the Hospital.

WE JOINED FORCES with the children´s Hospital to follow up previous activities in Piriatí
Today, at the Children's Hospital, otoscopy and ear washes were made to more than 35 children from the Embera community in Piriatí, this in order to give a proper follow up to our previous tour  to that community made by our Hearing is Living Foundation and HOPE Foundation. Thanks to the students of the American University, the FOV speech therapists, volunteers of Hope Foundation and all the other members who participated to make this event possible. The day was also used to provide hearing health care to the Nathaniel Embera community of Alto Bayano.

PERSONALITIES made the screening test with our Foundation!!
On September 23,the day of HEARING HEALTH, we, were honored with a visit from various local personalities who decided to attend to our call and as an example to others to convey the message that caring for hearing health is important. We thank you all and we will be waiting again in 2015 for his annual checkup. Here we give you the preview of some of the figures who visited.

Health Tour to Guna Yala district.
Thanks to the joint action of the Hearing is Living Foundation, Hope Worldwide and Franklin Panama Panama Foundation we could make the tour of hearing healthcare and comprehensive health care to the community of Guna Yala. Thanks also to the Office of the First Lady, all the doctors, friends and volunteers who gave their time to allow us to integrate forces and serve more than 145 children. Residents in the area and the area health authority doctors, our thanks for making this possible.

Thanks for joining us at the VI Information Session
We ended with great satisfaction our Free Session VI Teachers and Parents, featured this week at the Children's Hospital Auditorium. To our lecturers thank you very much for giving your time and expertise. Attendees, hope you liked it and now have more and new tools for support in their efforts to educate our children.

AKNOWLEDGEMENT TO DONORS AND FRIENDS
Counting our Awards Ceremony yesterday, where we celebrate with donors and friends, the joy of being able to serve our Panamanian children. Thanks to everyone who joined us, we know there is still a long way to go and we want adding more and more people, companies and organizations that support our work and allow us to go further. We close with this act a year full of achievements and the satisfaction of having achieved generous hand tgente that supports us and makes it possible. Thank you all !!

November 12 we had the pleasure to bring hearing exams to over 50 children at a Kindergarten School in Santa Fe Pacora. This is part of the project we are developing in this area under the auspices of the Mayor of Panama who support us.
