Our Dearest Family and Friends
I hope you are well and have had a good start to 2026.
We are delighted to report back on our successful annual medical outreach event held on 8th and 9th January 2026.
As in previous years, about 600 people attended over the 2 days and received free health advice, medical consultations, and medications relevant to their presenting problems and conditions.
Thirteen people received cataract operations, and this time we were able to operate on site. This is a significant achievement. We want to build on this and work towards providing other minor operations (e.g. hernia repairs, excision of uncomplicated lesions, joint injections, abscess drainage, sutures, etc).
We issued more small interest free loans and increased the number of people receiving free monthly reviews and medications for blood pressure.
We have carried out an assessment of our charity work and the impact we have made so far. The evidence is of huge positive impact on beneficiaries’ health and wellbeing:
