Celebrate with us our 1 year anniversary!

By Thais Arriola | Teacher

We are thrilled to celebrate the first year anniversary of our Wellness Program, with some success stories that showcase its profound impact on our student's well being and development. We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to you. Your generous and consistent donations have been the bedrock of our program's accomplishments, making the transformation of our students possible.

High School Student Transformation

The improvement we have witnessed from a 15-year-old high school student, who initially exhibited violent behavior and comments, anti-social tendencies, and reluctance to engage in group activities, is remarkable. The use of alternative therapies like play therapy provided a safe and comfortable space for her healing process. The collaboration between the school psychologist and teachers played a vital role in her recovery, improving her social skills and enabling her to participate in school festivals and contests. This case illustrates how the wellness program can address not only learning difficulties but also emotional and social needs, leading to significant positive changes.

Elementary Student Progress

The story of the 11-year-old student who showed low interest in academics, poor hygiene, evidence of malnutrition, and limited social skills is another testament to the program's effectiveness. With the support of the school psychologist and teacher involvement, this student experienced a transformation that took about five months since she does not attend school regularly due to the distance from her home to the school. With the best advice, support, and lots of love, now she actively participates in school events dancing, and singing, and demonstrating improved social skills and new healthy habits. This success highlights the program's ability to address various aspects of a student's well-being and provide necessary support.

Our elementary students love the safe and healthy spaces at their school.

The fact that most of the students in our schools did not have access to psychological help before underscores the crucial role the wellness program plays, particularly in the post-COVID-19 era, where mental and physical health have been severely affected. This program has become an integral part of our schools, showing that academic success and overall well-being are interconnected and equally important.

Your contributions have not only made an impact on the lives of our students but have also transformed our entire educational community. As we celebrate this milestone, we do so with you in mind, recognizing that it is your belief in our mission and your consistent support that has made these achievements possible. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and reaching even greater heights in the years to come.

Gracias, from El Patojismo team!
