The VHA was thrilled to celebrate another milestone in early June as locomotive 6539, along with the first repainted cars in our growing heritage fleet, was unwrapped to show off its beautiful new paint job at the Toronto Maintenance Centre (TMC).
The locomotive will be officially unveiled in the coming days at an event at the TMC. Keep an eye out if you're rolling past on a VIA or GO train!
Thank you again to all of the donors who have helped make this restoration possible. Your ongoing support will allow us to continue this work as we move toward celebrating VIA's 50th anniversary in the next few years.
