Summary:
This is a progress report for the quarter ending September 2020 with financial support from stakeholders and donors. The quarter ended when the organization had not yet received funding from our donors. The schools were shut down and children stayed with their guardians without reading. However, the organization didn’t’ secure any support for our beneficiaries and we didn’t visit them because it was illegal as per the government guidelines. Including visited the for apart from visiting them
Challenges:
We experienced limited funding for the project, child labour, and children were exposed to a lot of vulnerability such as early sex, early pregnancies and marriages in the community. On 15th October 2020, our schools were opened in Uganda and our orphans were asked to report in school with personal protective gears such 2 pairs of Face masks and sanitisers. Some have reported to schools and others are failing to report due lack of personal protectiv gears.
Recommendations:
KADO submits a request to all development partners to extend their helping hand to the project. Children reported to school on 15/10/2020 but lacks scholastic materials and sanitary pads for girls including COVID 19 personal protective gears. . .
