Summary This is a progress report for the quarter on Retain Orphan Girl Children in Schools in Uganda project ended on February 2022 with financial support from the community and donors on GlobalGiving platform. The quarter ended when the organization had not yet secured funding from donors. Currently all our targeted beneficiaries /orphans girl children study with hardship. They lack support like scholastic materials, food at school, sanitary pads among others. Achievement 1. Procured 540 sanitary pads and distributed to 270 orphan girls in schools 2. Procured 500 face masks for 250 girls 3. Procured 1kg of cabbage seeds for 25 orphan girl caretakers for plantation Challenges 1. KADO is experiencing inadequate funding for this project and limited support was provided to orphan girl children in the quarter. 2. Orphans girl children are exposed to a lot of vulnerability ie school dropout child marriages and early pregnancies due to limited support at school Recommendations: KADO submits a request to all development partners to extend their helping hand to the projects. In addition, we request GlobalGiving to link KADO the external partners that can support fundraising to support the overwhelming number of orphan girl children
