Over the past year, Mama Dragons has taken a major step forward in creating a safer, more sustainable, and more effective home for our families. We have now fully transitioned out of all official private Facebook groups and into our own private, vetted Mama Dragons network—a space built specifically to protect parents, safeguard sensitive conversations, and ensure long-term stability for our programs.
Inside this new network, we’ve launched a growing library of learning opportunities to meet the needs of families raising LGBTQ+ youth. Members can now access resources on suicide prevention, online safety, navigating difficult conversations, regional advocacy, understanding anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, and protecting their children in every environment where decisions are made. These tools are already transforming how parents show up for their kids and their communities.
We expected strong participation, but the response has far exceeded our projections. The demand for learning, connection, and support has been so great that we are now developing additional modules, expanded trainings, and new capacity-building features to ensure families have the guidance they need—especially in regions where resources are limited or hostile.
Your support is what makes this expansion possible. Because our network is powered by both volunteers and a lean staff, every dollar stretches far—strengthening safety, community, and life-saving education for thousands of mothers navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Thank you for helping us continue to grow this vital space. With your continued support, we can ensure that every parent who reaches for help finds a community ready to lift them up.
