Thank you so much for your financial support for the work of the Kimbilio team in reuniting street children with their wider families. The best chance for the street children is to address the family situation that caused the children to be living on the streets. Often the reason may be financial, and Kimbilio can provide assistance to ther families with food costs or school fees.
This year, Kimbilio has reintegrated 51 street children (37 boys, 14 girls) into their wider families. Each case requires identification of the child's family and their location, followed by a negotiation to understand why the child has left the family home and ascertain what is required for them to be able to return. It is a skilful and often lengthy task, but the result is the opportunity for the child to leave the streets and return to the safety and security of their family.
