As we start the year, we are grateful for your continued belief in education as a catalyst for community resilience and long-term social change.
Through this project, Instituto Nueva Escuela (INE) focuses on the people and systems that sustain school communities, ensuring that education reaches beyond the classroom and into the lives of families and neighborhoods.
Key impact highlights supported by this project
Your support contributes to:
Training and accompaniment for women educators, many of whom are heads of household, strengthening both their professional practice and economic stability.
Family-centered support through Casa Familiar, providing emotional, social, and educational resources that help families remain engaged as partners in their children’s learning.
Community pathways into education, including opportunities for parents and community members to enter the education profession through assistant and apprenticeship models.
These efforts reinforce schools as anchors of stability, where education supports not only children but entire communities working toward shared well-being.
Looking ahead
In the months ahead, this project will continue to expand community-based educational supports, strengthen family engagement, and invest in educators as leaders capable of sustaining positive change within their schools and neighborhoods.
Thank you for helping us educate communities today so that Puerto Rico can thrive tomorrow.
With appreciation,
Instituto Nueva Escuela
