Clean Water Still Out of Reach in Ogodo

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your interest in the Revive 3 Abandoned Boreholes with Solar Power project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the restoration work has not yet started.

In Ogodo community, access to clean water remains a daily struggle. The three existing boreholes that once served the area are no longer working due to damaged generator systems. As a result, families now depend on unsafe water sources for drinking and household use.

This situation exposes residents to water-related illnesses and creates hardship, especially for women and children who travel long distances to fetch water. The time spent searching for water also affects school attendance and daily activities.

This project is designed to restore the three boreholes by introducing solar-powered systems that can provide a steady and reliable water supply. It will also involve clearing blocked boreholes, replacing damaged pipes, and adding storage tanks to improve access.

With these repairs completed, over 3,500 people will have access to safer water close to their homes. This can improve health conditions, reduce stress on families, and support better living conditions in the community.

We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this project can begin and restore clean water access in Ogodo.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
Project Leader
