Thanks to your generous donations we were able to offer needed physical, psychological and social empowering services to our beneficiaries. Starting from providing tutorials on how to become physically independent to peer counseling sessions that foster healthy attitude towards one’s challenge and finally to helping couples achieve their dreams of having a baby! As part of our efforts to empower wheelchair users in Egypt, we started a series of live videos on our facebook page. Each one of these live videos discusses a chapter of Gary Karp’s “Life on Wheels”. Life on Wheels is primarily a guidebook for those with mobility issues, offering practical information on how to:
At the end of the series there will be book copies giveaways to those who follow the videos and answer the questions at the end of each video.
Two of our beneficiaries were working on that book adaptation to Arabic to make it culture appropriate and reviewed the book’s translation to make sure it’s easy to understand.
We also have been working on an accessibility app for a while now click here to know more and it’ll be launched soon. We’ll share more about it in our next report!
