Dear friends,
Throughout history, our societies have dealt with uncertainty thousands of times. This is part of our human nature and even today, while changes happen as fast as the ticking of a clock, we at the Omar Dengo Foundation (FOD) are sure that these challenges and uncertainties always end up bringing the best in all of us. Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, FOD has been working on the adaptation of its programs, projects and activities, to respond to the current situation. In coordination with Costa Rica´s Ministry of Public Education (MEP) and other partners, FOD continues working on the execution of educational initiatives to strengthen educational informatics, computational thinking and STEAM subjects within the public educational system of the country.
At the same time, we want to thank the efforts that GlobalGiving is doing to support its community, allowing all of us, the GlobalGiving family, to thrive even in uncertain times. FOD has been participating in Webinars, the GlobalGiving´s Fundraising Academy and fundraising campaigns such as Little by Little as a preparation to this year´s Giving Day. Hoping that soon enough, we will be able to continue executing our Robotics Workshops for young women with disabilities.
As always, we appreciate all of your support and we will keep all of you posted of our advancements towards bringing educational opportunities to young women with disabilities!
