Dear friends,
A new training workshop for young women with disabilities will be held on Friday, October 1. It´s been quite a hectic time since the Covid-19 pandemic began, and we are sure that the troubles and lessons that we endured may have been similar to yours. Fortunately, we kept our good spirits, with our goals in mind and expect that better times are always coming.
As we adapted our program to train young women with disabilities through virtual courses on STEM-related content, we wanted to make sure that our offering responds to the needs of this specific population. That´s why, with the help of other incredible partner of ours, CAF America, we executed a pilot training workshop on digital-image editing for young people with disabilities. Beneficiaries were divided into two groups, with 14 beneficiaries in one group and 18 in the other. 32 young people with cognitive disabilities completed the training workshop and received a participation certificate. It is important to notice that 13 young women with disabilities were part of the beneficiaries of this pilot.
Now, and thanks to your support through the GlobalGiving platform, we will execute a new training workshop for young women with disabilities on Friday October 1. We expect the participation of at least 15 young women, but our hopes is that we can surpass our expectations. As always, we will continue working to provide educational proposals that fit the necessities of young women, and, specially, those with disabilities.
Your collaboration and support is key for us to achieve new goals, so we want to thank you one more time for all of your support. Please, remember to share our project Robotics for young women with disabilities with family, friends and through your social networks!
