Transforming lives of young women with cognitive disabilities
Thanks to your generous support as GlobalGiving donors, the Robotics for Young Women with Disabilities project continued to transform lives in Costa Rica throughout 2025, opening doors to technology and innovation for young women with cognitive disabilities.
What We Accomplished Together
Between August and October 2025, we successfully delivered two editions of our Inclusive Robotics course at the Omar Dengo Foundation facilities in San José, creating safe and accessible learning environments where every participant could thrive.
By the Numbers:
How Your Support Made Learning Accessible
Understanding that traditional educational approaches often exclude learners with cognitive disabilities, we invested significant effort in creating truly inclusive learning experiences:
This practical approach ensured that learning was not only accessible but deeply meaningful and relevant to participants' lives.
Looking ahead
The success of these two courses demonstrates the need for inclusive technology education and the remarkable capabilities of young women with cognitive disabilities when given appropriate support and opportunity.
Your continued support will help us reach more young women, refine our adapted materials, and expand this model of inclusive robotics education to more young Costa Rican women.
Together, we are proving that technology is for everyone - and that disability is not a barrier to innovation.
Thank You!
Every donation, regardless of size, helps break down barriers and open up new possibilities. Thank you for believing in these young women and investing in a more inclusive future.
With gratitude,
