By Simon Gill | Road Crew: Rock for Ukraine
2022 was a wonderful first year with a large tour of concerts all across Poland. The highlights were concerts with kids in Warsaw and in a series of events supported by donor funding with our NGO partner orgnaisations.. The Foundation staff road crew have had a wonderful and often moving time being involved in this programme.
The number of children actively involved in events has now topped 1000 and we have plans for four more events, which are to be scheduled in the first quarter of 2023.
The programme goals are being achived with Kids and events leave them happy and are providing support and help, especially to those in Warsaw and Zywiec benefiting from music therapy and fun events which have become part of their weekly schedules.
As always more funding is needed to support Rock Events and to recompense Musicians for their costs when they donate their time to be with the kids.
The programme will continue in 2023, perhaps not at the pace of 2022, which was fantastic in its scope and achievements and will now move into a phase of stable support for those kids who find that music and music making is a solution to their ongoing problems.
Please find it in your musical souls to support us, and for those who have already donated we thank you very much.
