CELEBRATING SUCCESS
To mark the completion of the first harvest season, a celebratory lunch was organized for all the participant of the rooftop greenhouse project. Every woman who owns a greenhouse and works diligently every day for the growth of her plants was invited to join in the event. Members of the Karama team as well as UNRWA officials who are supporting the project, were attending to honor the women. Special recognition was given to the women who produced the most in their greenhouses and brought the most harvest to Karama to sell. And all of them enjoyed a delicious meal together! Up to a new harvest season.
SHARING SUCCESS
One of our goals is to let the impact of our projects come life for YOU: our donors everywhere around the world. One way of doing this is through sharing success stories that portray the impact of the project on the individual level of the project participants. The first participant we want you to meet is khalti Hasna. This 62-old lady climbs the stairs to her small rooftop every day to take care of her little “children”. However before, her sickness kept her sitting at home alone most of the time. Read more about how the project impacted her and changed her health for the better.
