Increasing fish production of Banojibi Agrofarm

By M. Sabrin Ahmed Roty | Project Leader

Fish production in BANOJIBI agrofarm
Fish production in BANOJIBI agrofarm

We are the members of fishing sector of Banojibi Agrofarm. We had no sound knowledge about fish farming at previous time. So, we did not earn our livelihood by fish cultivation.

BEDS had given us fish fry, feed, lime etc. for fish cultivation during the pandemic of Covid-19 period. We tried our level best for increasing the production volume. Then, BEDS also gives us capacity-building training for fish cultivation. After receiving the training and partial support for purchasing an aerator, we hope that our production of fish in per decimal of the pond will increase. If the production is good then we will get more profit than before.

Now we are trying regularly to provide supplementary feed. After setting of aerator, the growth of fish is satisfactory and it takes more food than before. We all Banojibi members of fishing sector are engaging ourselves in the fish cultivation process for earning better livelihood.

BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.

We would like to thank all our donors for being so kind to us so far. We are requesting all our kind donors to start monthly recurring donation. For recurring donation, please visit the following link;
