Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) has supported 20 Sheep to the Sundarbans coastal people that is the villagers of Banishanta union of Dacope sub district of Khulna district. The supported villagers are nurishing those sheep with great care. Now the number has increased up to 42. Day before yesterday one beautiful lamb got born.
The supported people are now very happy with those sheep. They expect that these sheep will bring them luck. Many of the supported villagers left their previous profession of forest resource harvesting. It becomes a means of alternative livelihood. But there are many more marginal villagers live in the coastal region who deserve same support. So, we should think about those poor and deprived villagers.
We would like to thank all our donors for being so kind to us so far. We are requesting all our kind hearted donors to spread out their helping hands to support the marginal people through starting recurring donation.
