Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) has supported 20 Sheep, 100 chicken and 100 ducks to the Sundarbans coastal people (Banishanta union of Dacope sub district of Khulna district). The supported villagers are nourishing those livestock with real care. New chicken and ducklings have been born and sheep are giving birth to new lambs. So, the number is increasing day by day. The supported villagers are earning from eggs and meat selling
The supported people are now very happy with those livestock. They expect that with these livestock, they can change their fate. Most of the supported villagers have left their previous profession of forest resource harvesting. It becomes a great means of alternative livelihood. But there are many more marginal villagers live in the coastal region, who deserve same support. So, we should think about those poor and deprived villagers.
We would like to thank all our donors for being so kind to us so far. We are requesting all our kind hearted donors to spread out their helping hands to support the marginal people through starting recurring donation.
