By Md. Nurul Amin | Project Leader

Livestock rearing provides economic support
Livestock rearing provides economic support

This is one of our long time beneficiaries at our location in Banishanta union of Dacope sub district of Khulna district. He joined us when we started our livestock farming project. He is another successful beneficiary of livestock farming project. He was a forest dweller before joining this livestock farming.

Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) supported him by giving some ducks and two ships. After joining the livestock farming, the beneficiaries have got training from BEDS on how to nursing this livestock’s.

So far, those sheep have given birth of six lamb and now and now they have more than 40 duck. They are selling 4 sheep in the market and get good price. They are getting eggs from ducks. They also sell eggs and getting monetary benefit. They also sell the ducks for meat and getting economic support. They are taking care of the livestock like new born duck and sheep are giving birth to new lambs. A new scope for income has been developed and their family income has increased.

We would like to thank all our donors for being so kind to us so far. We are requesting all our kind hearted donors to spread out their helping hands to support the marginal people through starting recurring donation.

We are requesting all our donors to start monthly recurring donation. Please click the following link; https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/livelihood-improvement-for-fishermen-families?show=recurring
