Bangladesh Environmnet and Development Society (BEDS) which is a non-profitable organization and working for the welfare of coastal region people. To change the livelihood scenario of community BEDS trained the people for skill development on livestock rearing and this result is that they are rearing duck, goat, sheep, chicken. Not only stopped this prescribed activity, but they also started cultivation in the dyke of the farm. Different types of vegetables are cultivated in this surrounded area of integrated farm like cucurbit, ladies finger, cowpea, brinjal, papaya etc. As a result, farmers are getting the security of food and nutrition and also earning money by cultivating this process.
So, if we discuss the benefit of mixed farming in this project area of Dacope, beneficiary secured the level of income, ensure food security. Ultimately this method provides multiple sources of income.
