Bangladesh is a developing country with its highly dense population and severe natural disaster prone. In this country, South-western part is Sundarbans and it’s one of adjacent area is Dacope upazila. This area people are fully depending on agriculture and natural resource of Sundarbans. But heavy salinity is a hinder for production. In this time, Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is working for the development of coastal area people basically coastal women who are forest dependent and housewife. In that case, Sundarbans Resource Harvesters Cooperative Society which is consisted of 265 memebers are naturally farming in integrated way. Among them, they are rearing cows and sheep that are giving natural fertilizer, milk and meat. Cooperative members are earing by the animal.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.
