Farming is a traditional method for food production. In the past history, farmers used organic fertilizer like cow dung, domestic degradable wastage etc. But by the time bound, people are using chemical fertilizer for fast production which has a direct health effect. But, remaining in mind the health and environment, Sundarbans Resource Harvesters cooperative society is producing organic vegetable by compost fertilizer. It’s satisfying their daily need and also earning money by selling in the market.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.
